Terms of Service

By accessing or using ChainBranch (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Platform.

ChainBranch is a decentralised social platform built on the Sui blockchain. Users can create channels, post content, join communities, and interact with other users. All social activity is recorded as immutable transactions on a public blockchain.

The Platform is provided on a testnet basis. Features, availability, and data persistence are not guaranteed.

You must be at least 13 years old to use ChainBranch. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

Access to ChainBranch requires a Sui-compatible wallet. You are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your private keys and seed phrases.
• All activity conducted through your wallet address.
• Any losses resulting from loss of access to your wallet.

We have no ability to recover lost private keys or reverse on-chain transactions.

You agree not to use ChainBranch to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
• Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Manipulate or exploit platform mechanisms (e.g., bot activity, vote manipulation) in bad faith.
• Attempt to interfere with the operation of the Platform or its underlying blockchain infrastructure.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.

6.1 Your content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content on ChainBranch you grant us and other users a worldwide, royalty-free licence to view and interact with that content as part of normal platform operation. Because content is written to a public blockchain, this licence is irrevocable.

6.2 Our intellectual property

The ChainBranch frontend, smart contracts, bot system, and associated software are proprietary. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our express written permission, except as permitted by applicable open-source licences.

Interactions with ChainBranch (posting, joining channels, etc.) may require on-chain transactions subject to Sui network gas fees. You are solely responsible for paying all applicable gas fees. We are not responsible for failed transactions, network congestion, or wallet balance issues.

ChainBranch operates automated bots (welcome bot, oracle bot, moderation bot, etc.) that post content and moderate channels. These bots are disclosed and act on behalf of the Platform. You consent to receiving automated posts from these bots within channels you join.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

CHAINBRANCH IS A TESTNET APPLICATION. DATA MAY BE LOST, RESET, OR BECOME INACCESSIBLE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChainBranch and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, without notice. Because activity is on-chain, suspension affects only access to the ChainBranch frontend and APIs — on-chain data remains accessible via direct blockchain queries.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
